Happy Halloween and The Bloomington Handmade Market!

Happy Halloween everyone! I had a great time vending at The Irvington Halloween Festival yesterday, unfortunately my camera battery died, so no pictures. Of all the days for that to happen!

Ohio Trip Wrap-Up

On Friday I headed to Columbus, OH for the 6th annual Craftin' Outlaws Alternative Craft Fair!
My drive was very pretty with the fall colors all around and crisp air. I turned up my music and enjoyed the ride!
After I checked in to the hotel, I made my way over to What the Rock?! in the Short North. While there, I met Heather and Mike the shop owners who were super duper nice people!

They have such a cool store as you can see!

The coolest baby onesies ever.

After that I headed over to Wholly Craft! Everything in the store is handmade and I had the pleasure of meeting store owner Olivera!

My favorite displays.

Saturday was the day of the show.

It was my first time having a show in a theatre, but it worked well!

This is the room I was in. (during set-up)

And my booth.

I really enjoyed Columbus! What a great city! And I was delighted to meet so many wonderful people and vendors. I especially enjoyed my booth neighbors Missi and Sarah for Toxic Shock Clothing (thanks for the Pixy Sticks!), Kim from L2 Design Collective, Brian from BMethe, and Jessica from Miss Chief Productions!

Craftin' Outlaws!

Tomorrow I will be Columbus OH bound for the 6th annual Craftin' Outlaws Alternative Craft Fair! I'm so excited. I have LOTS of new goodies coming with me, but my favorite are these skeleton hands in the spirit of Halloween! Some are pins and some are hair clips. I had so much fun making them!

With this new craft fair also came the challenge of fitting all of my goodies on a 6ft table! With the help of my racks and new packaging it will work out.

I plan to hit the road around noon tomorrow so I can check out some Columbus stores! Wholly Craft and What the Rock are two stores I definitely plan to hit. I also mapped an antique store or two. And then Saturday, Craftin' Outlaws!

I Love Skulls, Crafty Fun, Lynn Stevens, and More!

Okay, so I adore skulls! Some of you may know this, many do not. And Halloween is absolutely the best time to buy them! I have an outdoor craft fair on Halloween, The Historic Irvington Halloween Festival, so I bought a few things for my booth! The garland is just too perfect to put on my table! And I could't pass up the aqua glittery skull!

I also had to buy these adorable slipper socks which of couse I will wear year round!

And I love my new wine stopper!

To make my shopping trip even more enjoyable, I grabbed my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season.

Last night my best art buddy Bianca came over for a craft play date! We made buttons with my button maker, ate chocolate, and drank blueberry wine. Perfect. Bianca is also a fellow skull lover and gave me the tip about the skull garland! Thanks!

Last but not least I wanted to give a shout-out to the talented Lynn Stevens! Lynn had this gorgeous bracelet published in the latest Belle Amoire Jewelry magazine! Congrats!

Lynn used the Hello Dollie Collage sheet as one of her supplies. See the sweet dollie head?

Thanks for the mention Lynn!

Indieana Handicraft Exchange Fall Mini Wrap-Up

Friday night was the Indieana Handicraft Exchange Fall Mini! 32+ amazing crafters in one room. Here is my set-up!

The show was only 5 hours (5-10pm) but there was quite a crowd!

As always, I wanted to share a few customer photos. Here is the sweet Emma wearing her 'new' vintage owl necklace!

And Toni Carr rockin' another owl necklace. Toni is the author of Knockdown Knits and has a second book on the way. She and her husband Dan also own The Strange Brew Coffee House in Greenwood. Way back in the day when I was still painting I had a little gallery show there. Be sure to check them out!

Also, a big thanks to my friends Mike Meador and Chris Meador from Coffee Break Design. They gifted me with this amazing nostaligic candy before the show! It was basically my dinner on the way home :).

A Few New Supplies in the Shop!

I had a break today from my art/craft shows and listed a few new supplies in the shop!
There are wonderful new Extra Large Shelf Shrines available in pointed and rounded as well as some lovely new German Dresden. See all the new goodies HERE!
